We’re raising $28,000 to bring SPARE to life.

SPARE is a nonprofit creative reuse center that keeps donated art, craft, and sewing supplies in use and out of the landfill—making them affordable for teachers, students, artists, and makers.

We’re already up and running behind the scenes: collecting donations, filling our storage unit, and organizing materials for their next life. Our 501(c)(3) status is pending with the IRS. The next step? Opening our storefront so we can share these supplies with the community.

To get there, we need to raise $28,000 to fund our first four months of operation.

That includes:

• Rent and utilities for our future storefront

• Insurance and admin costs to operate safely and legally

• Marketing and outreach to build awareness

• Systems and tools to sort, organize, and distribute materials

These startup funds will allow us to sign a lease, set up shop, and cover the essential work it takes to launch SPARE responsibly and sustainably. After this initial phase, we expect the shop to sustain itself through earned income.

All donations are processed securely via Donorbox and Stripe. You’ll receive a confirmation for your records, and if our 501(c)(3) status is approved as expected, your gift will be retroactively tax-deductible.
